MSKU members both competed and had fun during the Turkish Cuisine Week

"Turkish Cuisine Week" was celebrated with various competitions and activities organized by Muğla Vocational School and Muğla Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism with the participation of the Culinary Programs of the Vocational Schools within Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) and the Food and Beverage Department of the Faculty of Tourism.

The Turkish Cuisine Week, which was organized for the first time in Turkey between 21-27 May with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the auspices of the Presidency, was also celebrated at MSKU.

Turkish Cuisine Week started with a cortege march in Kötekli. During the procession, students danced along the way, with accompanying music. The program continued at MSKU Atatürk Cultural Center 15 July Democracy Martyrs Hall. Here, a "Gastronomy Knowledge Contest" was held between the students of MSKU Muğla Vocational School, Marmaris Vocational School, Milas Vocational School, Ortaca Vocational School, Datça Vocational School Culinary Programs and the Department of Food and Beverage Management of the Faculty of Tourism.

In the first round of the competition, 15 questions were asked; two programs with the fewest scores were eliminated. Muğla Vocational School was the winner of the competition among the finalists Muğla Vocational High School and Milas Vocational School.

The chef's knife, participation certificate, medals and trophies were given to the students who ranked first in the competition by Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çiçek and Muğla Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Dr. Zekeriya Bingöl.
